About Our Waffles

Our waffles are made in the liege style from yeast instead of baking powder-a more time consuming and challenging process which requires that we kneed our waffles to form a dough. The vegan recipe uses flax seed or egg replacer, and avoids eggs or butter, which is harmful for your health. The special pearl sugar in the dough is made in Belgium, and won't dissolve in water easily. The sugar melts in the presence of the hot waffle iron forming a brown caramelized syrup that is delicious and can appear burnt.
